Mark “Coach” Soto Corporate Biography

Mark “Coach” Soto has been a licensed real estate professional since 2001. Mark has a sincere passion for people and loves consulting; advising and motivating everyone he comes in contact with.
Mark received his nickname of “Coach” because of his 18/year reputation as a High School Football Coach. He retired from coaching high school student athletes in 2010.
In 2001, Coach founded “The Home Loan Coach” and quickly became one of Sacramento’s leading loan originators with thousands of successful loans completed. While operating The Home Loan Coach, “Coach Soto” achieved “Top Performer” status and was made an “Honorary Partner Club Member” of a large mortgage finance firm in Roseville, Ca. Called American Pacific Mortgage. While employed with “APM” Coach Soto also worked in developing an in-house lending operation for Keller-Williams/Northern California.
In 2010, Mark founded a rapidly growing nonprofit called Battle at the Capital. This nonprofit combines High School football and the local community to help, donate, and support injured and rehabilitating wounded veterans. Battle at the Capital will expand to both Sacramento and Los Angeles in 2012.
Coach loves having fun with clients and likes to make the home selling, purchasing and mortgage process simple to navigate and understand. He wants to ensure his clients don’t leave his office scratching their head. The response Coach receives from his calming and fun demeanor is appreciated and clients come back and refer him daily. Before becoming a real estate professional, Coach Soto was a VP of Sales/Marketing and Executive Account Manager for several Fortune 500 firms in the Bay Area for 20 years. His professional background also includes a short stint as a Police Officer. Coach Soto also specializes in working with the senior, baby-boomer age demographics.
Coach is a current member of the Granite Bay Rotary, a past member of the Granite Bay High School Booster Organization, and is an active board member of a coaching and student athlete organization by the name of “Character Combine”. He is actively involved with many community projects. Due to his work with military organizations and Battle at the Capital, Coach Soto is often asked to speak to large community organizations and churches. Most recently, he was featured in several national news media stories about wounded veterans, Battle at the Capital, and a video documentary he helped create about wounded veterans called, “The Day Remembered.”
Coach has been married for 29 years to his wife Teresa, has three children that are all active in our nation’s military. And currently has three grandchildren.
